Research and market recently released the latest "China Sourcing Report: PCBs" "China Resources Report: PCB" China is still the largest PCB production base, accounting for more than one-third of global sales. The local industry expects that until 2014, it is estimated that there will be a compound annual growth rate of 9% on the existing basis, even exceeding the global level of 5%. A strong application market continues to drive growth. These measures include: computers and peripherals, communications and consumer electronics industries, together occupy more than 70% of the demand. This report covers China's PCB industry, including aluminum bases, double-sided and multi-layered major products.
PCB manufacturers in these fields, in order to meet the trend of miniaturization, are promoting multi-layer boards. Some large-scale enterprises have focused on higher-end high-density products, special structures and heavy copper products. At the same time, the practices of green production and waste management are also affecting the market.
Key Findings Most of the interviewed suppliers plan to increase export prices in the coming months, mainly due to rising raw materials and labor costs, as well as the appreciation of the renminbi. For many people, the adjustment will be at least 5%.
Despite the challenges, most companies expect higher overseas sales, mainly due to strong demand from the application market. There will be more than one-third of companies expecting a 10% to 20% increase, while the other third wants to break through 20%.
The total revenue of multi-layer boards has a market share of nearly 50%. And further increase is expected to exceed 10% in the next few years.
In R&D, manufacturers will continue to target higher circuit densities to improve their product lines. They are adding more layers while reducing the width and spacing of the lines.
Suppliers open up new markets including Asia, Central and South America.
